Preview: Brisbane Roar v AUFC 25.04.19
ANZAC Day match and last match of the regular season.
Brisbane looked utterly flat against the Jets so I imagine will be coming into the match with a week's worth of bollocking from the coaching staff, fans and media. Expect some hard and wayward tackles.

Plus it's Henrique's last game before retirement, so the Meow will be up for it. I still think that we will win comfortably though.

How lovely it'd be to send McKay and Henrique off with several goals in the back of their net.

George Blackwood speaks to the press.

Nix play Glory in Perth, you'd imagine Glory will get something out of that game which means a draw would be enough.

I'm hopeful Glory will field their strongest team, unless anyone's carrying an injury. I don't think they'll want players having two weeks off before playing again. So, yes, I hope Glory get a result, but you never know. I liked Blackwood's attitude saying Brisbane will be a tough game and it's a must win for us. Marco knows how to keep a team focused.

I'm hoping we play 442 and give the likes of Elsey and Baba some minutes in their legs before finals. Wouldn't mind giving Margus a run either.
I want to see this:
Izzo
Marrone Elsey Jakobsen Galloway
Halloran Isaias Boland Goodwin
AP Blackwood
Margus, Kitto, Nathan K, Mileusnic, Baba

I suspect it will be quite the opposite. He'll want to be remembered as a clean footballer, so is likely to be overly cautious if anything. Lots of helping people up and patting heads; that sort of thing.matt mckay will go for the kill. no coNsequence if he coos a red as its his last game.

In my mind, Perth will not want to lose 2 games in a row headed into a week off in the finals. They'll be playing hard to boost confidence...
Plus it's their Derby.

Greetings from Athens!
It looks like Fowler will be in charge for their last game.
Playing for their future according to the assistant manager.
This could be interesting.

Re: Preview: Brisbane Roar v AUFC 25.04.19
Looks like he's going to have a fairly clean slate to work with. Will be interesting to see who he brings in and how successful they are. Lots of roar squaddies will be fighting for a contract today.Interim coach Darren Davies will be at the helm for the Adelaide game, although Fowler is expected to be presented to the Roar fans at the match.
Davies will remain at the club as an assistant to Fowler, with a second assistant to be appointed by the ex-England international striker.
