Time for youth
I have been defending Holland and Guardiola longer than most on here but with Guardiola's performance taking a step backwards and him failing to capitalise on the chances he had it is time for both them to be out of the team. Carrusca is out of the team apparently with injury although he was so terrible he deserved to be dropped. Elrich has been been abysmal, last night was a bit of an improvement but still far from good enough. All should be out of the team.
Marrone was terrible when he came on but game time should fix that and he surely cannot be much worse than Elrich has been in a lot of recent games.
Marino and O'Doherty must start, they are the future if given a chance.
Put Mileusnic and Kitto on the wings. Henrique has had some very good games but has been quiet and ineffectual in most games, let him be the super sub for which he is best suited. Cirio has been okay through the middle, a bit in and out of the game and missed two golden chances last night, but good enough to stay in there.
And get Makarounas completely out of the team, he has now failed here like he failed at Victory and Perth. Give Mells time instead, let him prove to us he is good enough. McGree should also be getting game time when he is fit.
Galekovic
Marrone - McGowan - Regan - Garrucio
Isaias
O'Doherty - Cirio
Miluesnic - Marino - Kitto
Bench: Hall, Warland, Mells, Henrique, Ochieng.
La Rocca instead of Warland if available.

Re: Time for youth
Given the nature of the FFA's Australian Marketing League and the obvious favoritism toward the Melbourne and Sydney sides at all levels, with the others only really there to make up the numbers, play the NYL squad from now and show the league up for the farce it has become.
Adelaide United:
Winners First A-League Match
Inaugural A-League Premiers
Inaugural FFA Cup Winners
A-League Premiers and Champions 2015-16

Pre-game:
Amor: Play some different players, we've been getting smashed each week.
Inner Amor: Play the same lineup as last week.
During the game:
Amor: We are 2-0 down at the 60 minute mark, play some subs.
Inner Amor: Keep the same tired players on who haven't been able to score/keep a clean sheet.
Rinse and repeat.

Re: Time for youth
Yeah I can't help feel there is some truth to this. I don't get why trying something new isn't an option. It must be bloody frustrating for some of the younger players to still be stuck on the bench or not getting a look in at all when the side to failing so often.Pre-game:

Yeah it's really disappointing to see players overlooked when the first team has had 1 win in 14.
Regardless of the personnel, I think that is the fault of the manager not to change things up.

Ahh you realise you're blaming Amor (partly) for this situation? That's not cool you know!Yeah it's really disappointing to see players overlooked when the first team has had 1 win in 14.

Of course it is partly Amor's fault. Not mostly but he has to be accountable for where the team is on the table.

Re: Time for youth
Yep, have been calling this for a couple of weeks.
It's not as if Kitto looks worse than Henrique
or
Marino (in his 10 minutes) looked worse than Guardiola
or
O'Doherty looked worse than most of the side.
Give them a run, we are losing anyway.
Would even be looking at replacing Eugene with Izzo next year

Yes, and did you see him against Sydney? Has really come on.
Galekovic was wobbly at the start of the year, has improved somewhat but will be 36 next year (yes goalkeepers can play til their 40 but he showed a couple of worrying signs).

Re: Time for youth
I'm totally on board the youth train. Only senior players I would be happy to keep on the park are Isa, Elrich (LB), Reagan (shockingly), Cirio (midfield). Bring Marrone into RB, fill our wings and forward line with youth and press the shit out of our opponents. Sub the kids over as they get tired. Fucking throw the dice.

Re: Time for youth
It isn't just a matter of youth but also a matter of getting some game time under the belts of those players we need for the ACL. This needs to be our focus from here on in.

You guys don't rate Henrique?
I think he's been one of the best this season, there's no way I'd get rid of him.

All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Yeah I agree he's still an important player his first touch is as good as anyone's in the HAL IMO. The amount of balls he's able to bring down and to control is insanely impressive. I still would like to see him coming off the bench as I don't feel he has 90 mins in him but not in this current situation obviously.
