Now that he's signed with FC Midtjylland I think like Burns and Leckie we need to keep a close eye on him!

Yeah definitely. Heres hoping he gets game time like Amini is getting atm.
One good thing about Scandinavian countries, is that a large majority of people there speak English as a second language. So at least that shouldn't be an issue for Awer.

I'm actually really interested to watch some of these games ... Midtjylland are current champions so it will be great to see if Awer can break into the team.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Yeah next week they have a qualifier against Apoel I think. Long shot for Awer to be in the first team within a week, but its something to look out for.I'm actually really interested to watch some of these games ... Sheesh, give the kid a chance. He's a long way from setting the world alight, just on the right path. Expect too much too soon, and you'll be disappointed, give him the time he needs, and you'll be remembering his days at Hindmarsh with pleasure.

Re: Awer Watch
Here is a story they tell at FC Midtjylland, the small Danish club that went from near-bankruptcy to lifting their first Superliga title in one exhilarating headrush of a season, which has echoes of Hans Christian Andersen. Two centuries ago there were wolves living in the Jutland peninsula, which is why there is a red wolf on the club’s badge. They had long died out in Denmark, but two years ago they suddenly appeared again. “We took it as a sign that the wolves could rise up,” says Midtjylland’s brand manager, Soren Marcher. “And now we have.”

No sign of him in the Sunday match day squad.

Re: Awer Watch
I read somewhere that they don't think he's up to scratch physically yet (both in strength and stamina) so they don't expect him in the squad until January.

I just hope they continue to view him as a developer and don't expect huge things immediately.I read somewhere that they don't think he's up to scratch physically yet (both in strength and stamina) so they don't expect him in the squad until January.

Why sign him then?I read somewhere that they don't think he's up to scratch physically yet (both in strength and stamina) so they don't expect him in the squad until January.
Imo he would have been better off being loaned back to adelaide.

So somebody else doesn't.Why sign him then?
Besides you don't always know a players true physical condition until they are in your setup and training.

Re: Awer Watch
Well FCM won they're first UEL group game. I think the more football the clib needs to play the better for Awer. Plus if the club is going well they'll be less likely to throw him in the mix hoping for him to swim. Hopefully if results continue to go well they can give him 15 mins here or there to allow him to get up to speed.
