Nestory to Sporting Lisbon is the news. Apparently a €20m deal. I've read that Bayern would get 50% of that deal. I've also read AU would stand to gain 50% of Bayern's cut.
So if true that's €5m to AU.

Holy hecker. That would fund salaries for the whole season and then some!

Yes sounds good! There would be quite a few leagues around the world where transfer fees would fund the clubs. AL clubs wouldn't have to be that much of a player in the transfer market to cover costs considering $11b changes hands each year.

Imagine if Popovic had let him loose on the wing in all Australia's games ...
According to Portuguese tabloids Record and A Bola, the Primeira Liga powerhouse has submitted an improved proposal worth €15 million upfront, plus a further €5 million in bonuses, as it attempts to prise the 20-year-old away from English Championship side Watford.
Sporting are understood to be eager to complete a deal before rival interest intensifies, with Bayer Leverkusen, Celta Vigo, Everton, West Ham and Fiorentina all linked to the Australian.

Bayern's sell on cut has been reduced to 40% according to the article ...

Cornthwaite also reporting AU don't have a sell-on but will still get $500k due to a "FIFA solidarity mechanism" - which is a rule that up to 5% of transfer fees go to developing clubs of which AU is one. Adelaide Croatia would get $200k.

Celje FC are through to the next round of the Champions league qualifiers after a 2-2 draw with Egnatia followed by extra time and penalties.

Our man Yaya Dukuly came on at the 69min, promptly got a yellow card in the 73min for a "Hello my name is Yaya" tackle and successfully slaps his penalty into the top right hand corner in the 4-1 shoot out win.

I must look up how to say "come on Celje" in Slovenian.

And these highlights popped up ...

The qualification process doesn't make much sense to me but it looks like they have a couple of rounds still to go thru to make the league phase.

Its nice when our lads move to an unfamiliar country to me. Now I have a Slovenian club to follow!

I did the same with German clubs following Leckie round. Sadly I stuck with Hertha and they've been useless since he left!

I believe they are now guaranteed European football of some description. Even if they don't progress any further in the play-offs they will land in the Conference League.

Nice sounds like he's going to get a good amount of game time if his first month is anything to go by.

Been a resoundingly poor move for Archie so far. Played 247 mins across 16 games this season.

Hope the same doesn't happen to Luka.

He's still in and around the squad, he started a game not long ago. I think there is every chance he can develop with the side. I get the feeling with him he's a bit of a surfie Newy lad so maybe life in a big US city is taking time to adjust to.
