So you support your team all year and you get stitched up by a shocking decison like the Berisha one. Or the Cristiano one from a few years ago.
Brisbane even admit an empty feeling. So whats the point? Just have a Cup format and make it whoever finishes top. Oh wait.. they don't get enough $$$ that way..

The worst thing about is all the pro Brisbane sheep are harping on how its a fair penalty. Les Murray what are you talking about.

Thats sport, bad calls happen in every league all over the world blaming the finals system is missing the point.
I do wish ffa would put more prestige on the premiership and separate the finals series.
So you would have;
The premiership trophy
Top 6 end of season cup.
Ffa cup

When you beat a safe mid-table team that fields their 5th choice XI on the last day 10-0 to overtake your rivals on goal difference. Then you know you have truly earned your title

to really make the premiers plate the prestige trophy. i think the finals system is fine, but move it to the pre-season cup. so top 6 get to play a pre-season cup and be called the champions.
then during the season have the FFA Cup, but make sure the final is a few weeks to a month before that last game of the season

TBH the FFA and Fox Sports are the ones who've made the Championship the Prestige trophy and as long as they continue to do so, that's what people will care about.

With relegation everything looks different.
Bring promotion and relegation into the sporting equation and watch what happens.

This is correct. Without the relegation/promotion aspect a straight table is unable to fire the imaginations and emotions of many fans. Until such a system occurs the finals series is a very viable option.With relegation everything looks different.

With promotion and relegation , no matter how it is marketed by the FFA or competition broadcaster the premiership will always be most important aspect of the game

I think as fans we should be focusing on the Premiers more. Pour our congrats on CCM for being the best team all season. Not Brisbane because Berisha tripped over himself in the box.
