Jonas Salley now being linked with the Gold Coast.
You know, I really hate it when people have a dig at clubs and their salary cap space, because really we have no idea what players earn etc.
BUT HOW THE FUCK DO THEY AFFORD ALL OF THESE PLAYERS

It will be great to see Jonas back in Australia. Pity it won't be in a Red shirt but i can't see him breaking into our midfield at the moment!

real estate arrangements
getting the kids in a good school
finding the wife or family members a good job...
Life style
its pretty hard to track all payments vis the salary cap. It def helps when you have big owners like our or clive who have alot of connections and pull sponsorships strings and stuff.
I also think adelaide latched onto a little loophole with slory by paying him bigger $$$ as a guest and out of the salary cap, and then would get a smaller pay for the next year, but i can only speculate about that

Love Jonas but probably not good enough to force Reid, Hughes or Usucar out of the team. Will be great to have him back in the league though
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.
Re: A league transfer rumours, NON AU
Usucar is better in every facet than Jonas as a DM, sure Jonas could tackle but the man couldn't pass more than3 meters. Plus half of his tackles were a bee's dick from a red card.

Marc Warren of Central Coast has signed for Sheffield United. Good stuff - the more youngsters we have playing at that level the better IMO

I still really wish that farken strike of his had gone in rather than hitting the bar in his last game at Hindmarsh. Like a man possessed that day.Usucar is better in every facet than Jonas as a DM, sure Jonas could tackle but the man couldn't pass more than3 meters. He was in the Western stand for the Heart game back in Dec. Guessing he was just catching up with some of the boys.

Re: A league transfer rumours, NON AU
It's only a loan deal for 18 months (two seasons). They also signed Shane Lowry on loan as well, so to have two Australians fighting for the same spot in an English club will be interesting. (Though I don't expect Warren to play much, if at all - more there for training as part of the Blades' partnership with the Mariners.)Marc Warren of Central Coast has signed for Sheffield United. Good stuff - the more youngsters we have playing at that level the better IMO
So business as usual, then.Wow there is some quality leaving the league for next season

As it should be, as long as they are going on transfer fees the HAL is doing its job.

Re: A league transfer rumours, NON AU
Transfermrkt says the A-league as a whole has made 1.5m euros from tranfers this season alone. I wonder how accurate that is.
And as in my opinion Brosque is the best Australian A-league player ever. So it will be very interesting to see just how well he goes in the J-league.
