The forums are a separate application that have been integrated (wrapped) in the website.

If you want to refresh and view the forums only, you'll need to open the forums up separately or by visiting the following address; http://www.wearethereds.com.au/forum

This will allow you to use the refresh button on the browser and will fix the problem you are having.

Shit, no it hasn't...

What am I supposed to be deleting? Just the temporary internet files? Or do I need to delete cookies as well? Anything else?
Try deleting all cookies, cache, temporary internet files, etc.

Then close down th whole web browser and then revisit the forums, tick the "login automatically" checkbox and login again.

To be honest I can't really provide any more support for this problem.

The board settings are definitely set to allow persistent logins.

Unfortunately, Internet Explorer (all versions) isn't exactly the most user-friendly or web-compatible browser.

I use Mozilla Firefox and have no problems at all with closing down my browser and logging back in automatically.

I can only suggest using an alternate browser?

I'll do some more reading up on it when I get a chance to see if there's anything else I can do to help.

Yeah cheers. I hate IE and only use it at work because I have no choice.

I use chrome at home and have no problems.

Also, I don't think the youtube tags work. Either that or I'm doing it wrong (although I'm doing it the same way as on the previous forum).

language used

Postby bensy Thu Dec 30, 2010 3:52 pm

I don't know about others but some of the language used in the blogs/podcast doesn't sit well with me.

I dislike melbourne victory as much as anyone but I find use of the terms like 'tards' and 'tardistan' a bit disrespectful and immature. It's fine for the forums imo but the website content should be held to a higher standard.

not crazy about terms like 'eggchasers' either.

just my opinion.

+1

Love the idea of personal opinion, but needs to be a bit more professional. Keep up the good work though, loving the site.

agree with previous 2 posts, but would have no problem with anyone alluding to these phrases in a 2nd person context (or third?)

I agree but only to a certain extent,

Being a fan based, you dont want it to be to formal. generally you just want to here what fans are saying about the club at the moment.

am all for call calling the tards... tards, but i think there needs to be drawn a line somewhere.

and yes, leave out the "egg ball" lines, you would be suprised how many have been brought up with so called agg ball and still support it

Myself, Ray and Kasey all love AFL actually, and we only refer to "round-ball" and "egg-ball" as a way of differentiating the sports, that's all :)

As for "tards", well, that's what they are? B)

We're not professional podcasters or journalists, we don't swear or use obscene language so "tards" or "tardistan" is not the worst words ever. ;)
