Finally a signing.
But shouldn’t that read Mark will remain red until a better offer comes or his baby grows up a bit?

Great signing. What we were all crying out for.
If he stays the entire contact we have a great player. If he goes early we’ll get a transfer fee.
It would be nice to get another centre back and striker too, but it sounds like the club are in negotiations, so I remain hopeful.

It is positive mate, it’s a good signing.
I am attempting humour as contract’s generally mean little except a fee when a better offer comes in is all.
Would definitely like a quality CB signed up next.

"Coach Carl Veart also confirmed the Reds are in "discussions with two or three other players" to bring them to Coopers Stadium."
Re: Who's signed for next season
That’s good news. I still wonder if Jimmy Jeggo was enquired about?.. maybe that’s what got Mauk to actually sign up in the end?.. I’m pleased that there’ll be some steel and energy back in the middle again but I’d long looked forward to Jeggo coming back. Timing is a funny thing eh?, the club was never going to sign the both of themI think Jimmy Jeggo is a massive miss.
I know he’s a Melbourne native but I do wonder whether the club made enquiries about him? Class player, great history with the club and in a crucial position
Keeping that box to box spot open for Mauk I'd say. Bit of a gamble if so.
Bingo !

"Adelaide United is pleased to announce former captain Stefan Mauk has returned to the Club on a long-term deal that will see him in Red until the end of the 2026/27 season."

Jeggo would have been a better signing than Mauk tbh but I don't think we were ever a chance. That’s good news. As a side note, they are such a soulless club. All that success but no one is interested.

I’m happier with Mauk than Jeggo as he will bring a combative spirit.Jeggo would have been a better signing than Mauk tbh but I don't think we were ever a chance. That’s good news. Mauk may leave quicker than he came if we play like we did last game , and the club doesn’t sign more players

Only if he got a bigger $$ offer …. in which case he’d leave anyway.Mauk may leave quicker than he came if we play like we did last game , and the club doesn’t sign more players
At least we’d get a fee.
Re: Who's signed for next season
Dukuly and or Ikonomidis are our deadline day targets.
Not sure either are what we need (defensive midfielder) but they would give us depth and experience.

I'd take Ikonomidis in his prime, but he's had more than his fair share of injuries.
Dukuly ? No thanks, I thought he just went along to keep Mo company.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Don’t think either are that great, dukuly was average last stint but probably replaces Bernardo.
Looks like we are sweet in defence and everywhere else if these two are correct.
Another shocking transfer window all in all.

I had low expectations but somehow this still is disappointing.
