Whatever the reasons, it’s not good enough.
It’s a professional league and half the team don’t make the grade for varying reasons.

Yet there are some weeks we look great and everything clicks and we score goals for fun. We’re inconsistent, which isn’t surprising with such a young squad.Whatever the reasons, it’s not good enough.

I’m happy with the plan of promoting youth, I just think we were forced into overdoing it when Goodwin left at the last minute, plus a bad run of injuries.

Game over.
That's it.
Not too many bright spots and we could not capitalise in the first half.
Bovalina is looking better with each game.

Don't rate Jovanovic tbh. He's good at turning low-quality chances into high-quality shots. But I suspect 90% of the reason for that is that he ignores the rest of the game around him.

If it was Football Manager it would be one of those games where the player doesn't even get a rating.Lost the feed at the 85 minute mark. How did Alagich go?

Microcosm of our season. Great first half (albeit we didn't score at all) and the second half was indescribably hideous.
Something has to change. Maybe Mark Milligan can go home to wherever he comes from and someone with some sense can coach the defence.
I was there with my sons today. My 18 year old was 3 months old when he first went to a game. And I was a fan before that. But I can't remember a half of football that was so disappointing in all that time.
Something has to change. Maybe Mark Milligan can go home to wherever he comes from and someone with some sense can coach the defence.

First half was reasonable, if a bit disjointed.
Second half was woeful, and full of drama.

I think Eugene is our defensive coach. Perhaps he should go back to where he came from.Microcosm of our season. Great first half (albeit we didn't score at all) and the second half was indescribably hideous.

I think Eugene might be our goalkeeping coach - and the results are obvious, both here and overseas. We have had a string of amazing keepers and Gauci may well be the next Socceroos keeper given Ryan is now out for weeks.I think Eugene is our defensive coach. Perhaps he should go back to where he came from.Microcosm of our season. Great first half (albeit we didn't score at all) and the second half was indescribably hideous.

Milligan is assistant coach, but he's a defensive specialist based on his career.
It was probably an overreaction to ask him to leave, but at some point someone has to take responsibility for the mess we are at the back these days. We are unstructured and vulnerable almost every game at the moment. I acknowledge that the season started well, but it's going south fast.
It's obviously not his fault that we couldn't take our chances in the first half but the glaring hole in midfield and gaps at the back meant that if it wasn't for Gauci we'd have been cooked way earlier.
We never hear from Milligan. Carl is on a run of venting his spleen at every player who mis-steps and I'm keen for the coaching staff to step up, accept responsibility and shield the players, most of whom are too young to se clear ways out of the patterns that are destroying our early promise.

Couldn't agree more. If the players are doing what the coaches ask of them then it's the coaches who need to accept responsibility.I'm keen for the coaching staff to step up, accept responsibility and shield the players, most of whom are too young to see clear ways out of the patterns that are destroying our early promise.

Correct - little jibe at the "go back to where you come from" remarkI think Eugene is our defensive coach. Perhaps he should go back to where he came from.
