CV will have emphasised the criticality of not being opened up by a high press, which we conspicuously were in the previous 2 matches against CCM. They just absorbed everything that we threw at them - and, it must be said, rode their luck a bit too - and then flew at us on the counter and prospered. I suspect that we will be a little more circumspect in running forward this time; maybe more of a possession game from us.
I think that this will be like the Phoenix match; as long as we score first, we'll be fine, but if they score first, we're in trouble. We have to head to the Central Coast next weekend with a win in our pocket, to force them to play an open, risky plan, which they do not want to do against the best running side in the league.

Should be a much tighter game than form suggest. The 4-0 defeat in Gosford was down to Carl’s inexperience as a coach. Failing to organise the team and subs after Isaias’s red card. We conceded three goals in ten minutes. The 4-1 defeat at Coopers was down to missing too many key players and wing backs caught out of position. Simple, sort out those issues and it’s a 3-0 to us.
So looking forward to it.
Big game. Big crowd. Hopefully a big result.
Nerves kicking in as I get ready to go grab my shirt & scarf & head out the door.
