Yep, lots of subs but no structure. The players on the park have no idea what formation they're playing.

"Looked" dangerous yes, delivered very little. eg. Looked great beating 3 players by himself, less good when he did a 180 just to beat them again rather than passing to unmarked teammates. Also, Goodwin and Halloran both had to pull out of crossing opportunities because he made no effort to get onside. zero shots by my reckoning too. (edit: My memory failed me there)Really? I feel like Yengi is more threatening than Juric. The fact he attacked the ball and held his feet lead to the goal.Yengi's had a shocker.
Veart formation when he's given up is loading up the team with many strikers but no way to get the ball to them.
Agree there is no link man though.
A very S. Guardiola game, simultaneously looked the most dangerous and the least useful.

Created enough good opportunities. Just not clinical enough. Goodwin side netting ... Mauk air swing ... Timotheou from the free kick ... all good chances.
Yengi & Toure x 2 looked very disjointed. You can’t leave Mauk as the only midfielder. How’s he supposed to make runs into the box AND screen the defence on the counterattack?

When Mauk was 100% fit and Lopez was on the park, we had a dynamic midfield, now they just look flat and tired.
I'm not sure the answer, maybe bring Goody inside? Pacifique looked like he could unlock a defence at times, Piano man is going to struggle to make a career of it from here.
Roar on Sunday and we're playing to hold a spot in the six, Sheesh.

4-1 flattered them but they were clinical.
D'Arrigo very poor for the fourth. Gives away the ball then doesn't track Jamie McLaren.
Agree that Carl just loads attackers when down like he's playing FIFA but none of them can get on the ball.
Marrone hadn't missed a beat and Delianov made some huge saves.
We just don't looking like scoring lately. Goody is in a huge slump.
Something needs to change.

Funny how we are sinking like a stone ever since we blew the chance to go top a few weeks back, at this rate we will be lucky to scrape in or just miss out on finals. So if so, we have not really improved.
I think the match day coaching and tactics leave a bit to be desired, bringing on all forwards with no mids has not worked once and ultimately the very poor midfield/ no creative AM is a major reason for it.
Disappointed to say the least.

The funny thing is that we’re NOT sinking like a stone, thanks to every other club failing to grab wins. Despite no win in 5 games we’re still right in the mix for a top 2 finish.Funny how we are sinking like a stone ever since we blew the chance to go top a few weeks back, at this rate we will be lucky to scrape in or just miss out on finals. Agree that taking off 2 midfielders to play 3 strikers just isn’t working for us.
Also, although Marrone played well, you can see why Strain & Cavallo start ahead of him.

Carl speaks after the match.
" There was, he added, no room for spin, showmanship, hubris or “any of the feelings of invincibility” that so often shackle nations with an imperial past ... " - - -

Juric out for a few weeks with a calf strain while Gauci is out for three months with a serious quad injury
