Good work from the midfield to nullify Ninkovic tonight.

Good result, and plenty of room for improvement. Passing was pretty sloppy today.

Adelaide United 1-0 Sydney FC
game over!
Great game.
United played smart football and so many players stepped up and showed what they can do.
Excellent debut from Juande.
Gauci save the 3 points, excellent work from the young man.
Yengi was a beast and in the SFC side's face the entire match.
Strain was super.
Cavallo, D'Arrigo, everyone.
Adelaide we have a football team and a pretty good one at that.

Huge result.
Gauci massive save.
Juande looks like he has been playing in midfield all season. What a debut for someone coming on in the 14th minute.
6 straight!

About 8500. Bloody good crowd though. Loud. Fantastic to be at the match as the tension grew, the ref kept being a dick and then we scored. Hindmarsh....Ahhhhh.....!!!

Really good win against an aged, yet quality Sydney side.
Would have liked to see Toure come on for Yengi around 75min mark, otherwise Carl did well.
Cavallo asked to do the job at LB and did well, nervous to see how long Lopez is out for.

Sydney fans trying to say dived are hilarious, considering Brattan literally milked that contact in an attempt to con the VAR into overturning.

Sydney play flowing football when they can, but when they aren’t allowed to they play hard and dirty.
We stopped them playing, we matched their physicality, and we played some nice stuff ourselves.
Thought the ref gave every 50/50 call to Sydney.
Sorry to have missed it. A great gutsy win.
Crowd sounded fantastic on TV at the right times.

After match chat.
Highlights.
I think Gauci will be hard to shift if he keeps his good form.

yo ... just quietly ... that was never a penalty. nothing in it. we'd be ropeable if that was the other way around.Sydney fans trying to say dived are hilarious, considering Brattan literally milked that contact in an attempt to con the VAR into overturning.
I love Yengi but he needs to stamp out the theatrics. Unlikely if the team is getting rewarded for it though.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

I can't seem to upload screenshots here but if you watch again Yengi nips in and gets the ball first, then Bratten kicks the bejesus out of the bottom of Yengi's foot.
Why Bratten felt the need to wind up so much, and why he stood back while winding up, I've not idea. Always attack the ball in the box!
Silly pen, good win.

Brattan a millisecond late to the ball but Yengi is pushing his foot at Brattan at the same time that the kick is coming through. for mine it's play on! A penalty should be a clear foul or denial of goal scoring opportunity, I don't see either.

Yengi kicks ball.
Brattan kicks Yengi.
Penalty every day of the week.
Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy, considering his deliberate follow through on Lopez that will put him out for weeks if not the season.
