Disappointing result.
Deflected goal changed everything.
WSW stepped up and we could match them.

45 balls into the penalty area...may as well have been 45,000 with how poor they all were

Far out 45 entries into the area and Janjetavic was barely tested. Another game AU were 3 goals up at HT. Very unlucky really. Very disappointing though to see AU go 5 points clear of City in 5th place.
Time to Djbate!

Only our 5th loss this season including ffa cup 5 games. Not too bad.
Just annoyed they seem to be coming at home games.

It's not luck, it's a lack of crossing ability.Far out 45 entries into the area and Janjetavic was barely tested. Another game AU were 3 goals up at HT. Very unlucky really. Very disappointing though to see AU go 5 points clear of City in 5th place.

Yeah, no luck involved. We were just poor and they set up against us beautifully. If Goody had scored that might have changed it up but seriously, we hardly tested their keeper all night. We're capable of being really quite good and really quite bad. Tonight was definitely the latter. A really, really shit night at Hindmarsh.
In a totally wind-warping change of heart I thought Blackwood was excellent tonight. Isaias was given a bath by the cheating (but bloody clever) Bonevacia and couldn't cope. Let the boys down. The defence was very generous. Strain was off all night and I'm another one wondering when Marrone gets his spot back.
Oh well, roll on next week.....

They're coming at home games against rubbish teams, bar Perth.
We just concede so many soft goals.

Glad I made the effort to go tonight .... seriously looked off after about 10 minutes, no urgency or creativity and it was 90 mins of trying the same thing without success. Actually glad it’s 1 mth before next home game!
Kitto has no skill, Blackwood did alright until he was in the box-lacks any conviction as a striker!! Goody was off, Isa was too and you could drive a bus through our defence at times.
Thomassen had zero service all night, our corners and crossing was abysmal. Massive chance blown against a pretty average team, not sure what it says about AU in that regard.....

Could have been different.
1st goal disallowed as JOD fouls Jakobson. Ref gives free to Adelaide.
Goodwin scores penalty
Roly doesn’t get a lucky deflection to score WSWs 2nd
Third goal doesn’t happen because we aren’t chasing the game.
We win 2-0 with 70% possession and everyone cheers.
How finely balanced is a football match, and how it turns on a small number of episodes.

At the start of the season i said we need a fit baba and ilso needs to be that dynamic not quite mid not quite striker.
If those 2 things clicked i felt we could compete for the prem. Clearly neither worked out.
With that being said we need to be fair. Perty glory is the only club this season who is consistently turning up and playing. Even MV and SFC have been inconsistent.
This team as always is just a piece of the puzzle short from being a contender.
