Re: Who's signed for next season
Anthony Costa is the most realistic replacement and I'd be very keen to see how he gets on in the A-League. He's been tearing the NPLSA to shreds for a few years now.
Alternatively, Ben Folami would be awesome, although I don't know if a short loan would be good for his development.

Also I'm gonna have to say no to bringing Bruce back. I love him but he's 31, injury prone and was never very consistent as a goal scorer anyway.

Re: Who's signed for next season
He was floating around the squad a few years ago and never got much of a look in, seemed like he could be one of those players that does extremely well at state league standard but just can't adjust to the step up.Anthony Costa is the most realistic replacement and I'd be very keen to see how he gets on in the A-League. He would have been only about 20 then though, so he probably deserves another crack at it. But bringing in a player like Costa would be just as much a gamble as Bruce imo ... albeit likely a much cheaper one
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Blackwood is back to regular contact training now apparently so i dont understand what we get out of signing bruce really once blackwood is fit.
Has to be a proven , quality striker on a good wage or be happy with blackwood and ap.
Honestly im happy with blackwood , lets find a 10 and let ilso and blackwood battle for the striking role

"Adelaide United is investigating the prospect of landing Bobo, the A-League's record breaking striker, as Reds 2016 championship winning attacker Bruce Djite is also set to return to Australian shores"
Would be stunned if we signed Bobo....

Re: Who's signed for next season
So baba is being put on the long term injury list and it seems the club have their feelers out.
My only critique of bobo would be he is 33 and has won everything in this country, would he come to win or to retire?
Eithery way its a massive move of intent by the new owners if this happens and would surely be the first time this club has ever PAID a transfer fee!
It seems the old days of waiting till after the transfer window has shut and trying to snag some poor guy that no other club is interested in are over.

I doubt we would get Bobo, the cost is not in our budget. If city off load Bruno I’d have my money they pick bobo up.
Maybe we could get Bruno on cheap if city let him go considering there is an obvious attitude issue

It remains to be seen how much the owners are willing to invest.
This season they were hamstrung as isa and baba were already marquees.
Im not saying we are high rollers but the owners certainly dont give the penny pinching vibe either.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Looks like it's transfer silly season. Rumours I've seen so far include Bobo to us, Berisha to City and Djite to Sydney.
Second half of the season is gonna be a long tale of club legends breaking hearts

Re: Who's signed for next season
Bobo would command an easy 1mil a year as that’s what he was apparently on at sfc. His market value is at 1.25 mil euro now!
Something tells me we don’t have that cash for a player considering baba is at 350k Euro.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Could Bobo be a loan deal or has he been released from his club?
Re: Who's signed for next season
Bobo would be light years ahead of Bruce in terms of quality.
I would be amazed if we got him but agree with an earlier post that he may just phone it in whilst here.
