Halloran could have done better.

2 wins , 2 draws and only one loss plus FFA cup silverware.
All done basically without a senior striker and import engine also missing most of it. A very unsettled team being shuffled around to accomodate injuries.
Surely AUFC fans would be happy?
Totally agree we are swinging with a blunt axe at the moment but when we have a striker and boland comes back the team will be much sharper

Delighted with 3 points after being one-nil down.
First half was garbage but once we scored the game opened up and we looked much better.
Nikola will be very dangerous off the bench, would still love to see Konsta start ahead of Lia amd Strain start again but all in all 3 points across the dutch, cant complain (too much).

I obviously take the point that we are missing some important personnel, but I still think tactics are a bigger problem.2 wins , 2 draws and only one loss plus FFA cup silverware.

Last year I look at someone like Adlung who was clearly extremely talented but way too often was just a complete spectator in games, and I see the same kind of issue from the early signs of Boland before injury (aware that it’s a very small sample size of what we’ve seen).
To give Kurz credit, for the most part we are excellent defensively. Just watching us try to create with the ball often feels about as satisfying as repeatedly banging my head against a wall

I’m with Jumbinho. With the exception of Mourinho’s application of catenaccio, with quality players, reactive football doesn’t win leagues or championships. We’ll win a bunch of games and we’ll be there or there abouts, but our current system won’t defeat better teams unless the cards fall our way.

I feel its a conplicated issue because while kurz has been here long enough to implement his style, he has also had the mus fortune of inheriting Baba, our attacking mid last season walking out plus injuries and its been very simular state of affairs this year.
I think the next 6 months will shape how we view kurz.
I have to commend him though in one aspect, a lesser man would be making excuses after all of this bad luck. He has largely kept all that in his back pocket and protected the players that he has. I admire that.

I'm happy to disagree with all the misery guts on here.
Well done Marco! An away win after going behind. Into the top 4. Tried different personnel up front and in the end it worked.
Ilso up top and Goodwin more central was a creative and interesting shuffle of the players. Again well done Marco.
I'm happy enough with our style of football when we have our best players available. It's not Marco's fault that Baba is never fit.
And most of all, I'm really happy with the Cup silverware. That's the whole point of playing the game.
