I haven’t had a chance to see the presser, but if Viddie is the new DoF does that mean Kovacevic is out the door?

Nope, they actually did address that in the press conference, Vidmar's role is a new one, with Piet keen to expand the football department. Not sure exactly how it affects Kovacevic's day to day, but his role remains the same.
Feel positive about it, Vidmar stressed the youth academy that needs to be setup in the next 12 months to 3 years and the womans team too.

I think it is an excellent move bringing Vidmar on board.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I think this is a great example so far for the board putting their money where their mouth is. They say they want to re-engage the SA football community. Bringing in one of SA's favourite sons is a great way to build that IMO.I think it is an excellent move bringing Vidmar on board.

come home Brucey!
If his Twitter is anything to go by he's keeping an eye on things AUFC and Adelaide - it would be waaay too much to deal with if he ended up at another A-League club

All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Is the guy wearing number 58 a youth team player or a triallist? I don't think I've seen him before.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Apparently his management have been speaking to both Adelaide and Central Coast.Former Argentina youth international Damian Escudero is after a spot in the A-League.
FTBL understands midfielder Escudero, 31, who joined Brazilian giant Vasco Gama in 2017, is seeking a spot with an Australian club.
Bit old for me, by the time he settles in he'll need a zimmerframe.

Looks like Carlo Armiento to me.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I recall a few raised eyebrows when AU signed another 31 year old.Apparently his management have been speaking to both Adelaide and Central Coast.Former Argentina youth international Damian Escudero is after a spot in the A-League.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pablo_S%C ... born_1983)at already 31, moved abroad for the first time in his career after signing with Adelaide United FC in the A-League, where he shared teams with several compatriots including manager Josep Gombau.[8]
On 1 May 2016, shortly after having come on as an 86th-minute substitute for Marcelo Carrusca, Sánchez completed a 3–1 win against Western Sydney Wanderers FC for the A-League Grand Final, through a skillful finish.
If he's coming in to be a number 10 then that cast a shadow over what Ilso's role will be IMO. Although what I've seen of him he's played as the striker. Although that could be due to Blackwood and Baba being out.
One thing this does tell us if the report is true is that AU have another visa spot available and Isa no longer takes up one of those spots which is good news.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I don't really like it when player's management comes to a club and says "this player is free, are you interested?".
I much prefer us chase the right player that is available.
I get that this isn't always easy for a HAL club but it is my preferred option.
