Gooodwin was not unlucky not to be in the World Cup squad, no way should he have been in squad.

Re: Who's signed for next season
yeah i mean, all else being equal, we should go for the Adelaide boy. Does not apply if there's someone significantly better available. Why ??I think when he left us he was probably only around the level that Mileusnic is now .. however I imagine that time in Denmark & Portugal would have developed his game a lot. It's conjecture cos I haven't seen him play since then, but I reckon as a club we need to prioritise Adelaide boys coming home
We should be getting the best available talent, not just who comes from Adelaide. If Mabil is the best we can get, then fine, but we have to cut this "romantic" notion of bringing boys home.
In the case of Goody, fair enough as he is a high quality player who was unlucky not to be in the WC squad.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

In a league of franchises and overseas ownership we need something that reminds us we support our local club.
By all means we need to strive for the best talent available but we also need to be a club that represents its fan base

hmm...
Loving that the club is finally fuelling their own transfer rumours. With the lack of media attention the club gets from both local and football media. They need to!

Great stuff by the club.
I looked at sofifa and it has to be Mirko Boland.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Apparently he wanted to finish his career with his old club but they did not renew his contract. He only had offers from 3rd div Germany or abroad.
Looking forward to seeing what he can do in red.
This signing means, if Isaias isn't naturalizing, we will be probably signing Galloway and possibly Mabil or another Aussie rw.
Will that fill our squad?

If it is him, looks a decent signing. Similar CV to Adlung IIRC

Pretty much but I would like a 4th choice CB preferably Wilson if he's good enough. Anyone seen him play?Apparently he wanted to finish his career with his old club but they did not renew his contract. He only had offers from 3rd div Germany or abroad.

Re: Who's signed for next season
My first reaction it is very disappointing that there is no trust in the young SA midfielders that we have in the squad. It is a huge slap in the face to Nathan Konstandopoulos and others.
My second thought is perhaps Baba is really going, Ilso will be the striker, but the club could not say that while Baba is still at the club and Boland will be Adlung's replacement.
Please don't sign another RW, Mabil or anyone else.

Re: Who's signed for next season
Interestingly Boland has played quite a bit as a left midfielder.
The best the result I can see is he plays wide left, Goodwin plays left back, and Galloway acts as a backup fullback, with Strain. Strain can also be a midfeild option as well.
This would be a very strong team in my view
Izzo
Marrone - Elsey - Jakobsen - Goodwin
Isaias
Ilso - N. Konstandopoulos
Miluesnic - Baba - Boland
But I highly doubt it will happen.
