He's made the Socceroos squad and he'd be a decent choice for the first leg where a hard working, defensively capable box to box type would suit.

I happy for him that he has been called up again and I hope he gets his chance.

I also wish they'd leave Ange alone to get on with the job...

Jeggo played 90 min and received a yellow card as Sturm Graz played a scoreless draw away at Rapid Wien.

In other news that may affect James Jeggo, Franco Foda, the Sturm Graz trainer, has accepted the position of trainer to the Austrian National team.

He leaves in the January transfer window but will be in charge of the friendly between Austria and Uruguay later this month.
Foda has signed a two year contract.

Interesting times ahead...

Fully recovered James Jeggo played a full game for Sturm Graz in a 4-2 away win at Admira Wacker on the weekend.

He certainly has found a solid career in the Australian Bundesliga. It is surprising he hasn't been given much of a look-in for the national set-up given his consistency.

I guess is comes down to the number of decent players in that position.
Jednak, Milligan, Irvine playing deeper. Then Mooy, Luongo, Rogic, Troisi player higher.
He needs an injury crisis to get a look in.
Time to Djbate!

I think he worth a place in the squad but I'm biased. :)

By the way Sturm Graz with James Jeggo booked a place in the Austrian Cup final with a 3-2 extra time win over Rapid Wien last Wednesday evening.

I think he'd be a decent inclusion as he is a real box to box mid-fielder so would be useful in the type of game where we expect to be under constant pressure, such as against France, where players such as Rogic will not have the time or space to operate. I think he offers us more on the park than Timmy does at this stage.

Agree.

Sturm Graz win 4-2 away to Rapid Wien and James Jeggo scores.

Sturm Graz win the Austrian FA Cup in Extra time 1-0.
Jeggo played well for 120min.

Over 20,000 Sturm fans traveled to the final.

FarK Red Bull and that's what the Blackies did.

Jimmy Jeggo will leave Sturm Graz in the summer.

He turned down the club's last offer yesterday.
The club are surprised and off course disappointed especially after the successes they have shared.

There are rumours in the Austria press that Austria Wien have put a 3 year deal on the table to him but the Sturm manager is skeptical about the rumours because Jimmy told him often during the contract discussions that he was not interested in moving to another Austrian club.

It seems that England is his wish destination.
I also truly wish he does not go to another Austrian club.

Surprising. I hope he has something sewn up as he really had a good thing going at Sturm Graz.
