Round two.
Come on United!
I'll be happy with a point but a smash and grab would be grand.

very interested to see hiw we defend against maccarone.
My guess is Gulum will be tasked with keeping a sharp eye on him and Isaias may sit a little deeper and screen anything coming from the middle.
The great thing about the league this year is most clubs have invested in top quality in the front third which should mean mire goals for the casual observer.

It's probably the only aspect of this season that's exciting. In general the game is stale.

What do you mean by 'stale'? Surely if clubs are (generally) recruiting better & playing better football there's not much more we can ask of them?
FFA needs to expand the competition, sure, but we've been saying that for years

All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

I tend to agree that all the new players mean there is new exciting things to watch in the league. Like Adrian for Sydney, Cejudo for WSW, Matmour and Absalonsen for us and many others. I am excited to see what the new French winger for Brisbane can do. Also young players coming through, Blackwood for example.
An expansion is needed but there is lots of fresh in the league this year.

Yeah that's what I'm saying. Expansion and the lack of opportunities for youth has been a massive issue for years and the FFA is too busy focusing on self-preservation to do anything. What do you mean by 'stale'? Surely if clubs are (generally) recruiting better & playing better football there's not much more we can ask of them?

Any way, as for the game. I'd gladly take another draw. Both sides are still working themselves out so I'm not expecting the greatest game the HAL has ever seen!

I actually think this will be a quality game, end to end.
The new guys on both teams have their first match out the way and suncorp should be a total carpet to play on.

No Matmour at all tonight? Must have picked up an injury.
Lia and Elsey come into the starting 11, Matmour and Regan out.

It is quite a defensive midfield which might not be a bad thing.

With Lia in, Adlung can play the creative role and worry less about defending. Meaning less output from him fitness wise.
Plenty of mids on the bench to freshen it up late on.
Guessing Isa will drop back to CB if needed.

Yep spot on but I reckon Lia would be more likely to drop back. With Lia in, Adlung can play the creative role and worry less about defending. Meaning less output from him fitness wise.

Good morning Adelaide!
Yes I also like that we are starting to get some decent information from the club trainer.
But I must say some of the audio quality has been second class and the journalist could improve the quality of their questions.
But that is neither here nor there because it's Match day!
20min to go.

By the way anyone know how "ethnic club" Brisbane Roar made it into the A-league?
