Re: 2017-18 Preseason
Did Kitto play LB?
It looks like,
Izzo
Marrone - Regan - Gulum - ??
Isaias
Matmour - Konstandopoulos
Miluesnic - Baba - Absalonsen
Which leaves Kitto for LB

Good to see Gulum and Baba start. Assume they're starting to find fitness.
Interesting choice at LB.
I'm glad Kitto is getting some minutes but where's Garuccio??

I just hope Kitto falls in to the line up somewhere centrally. I really think he'll be far better there than on the wing.Possible but then I have idea how they set up.Maybe a back three?

Three 40min periods sounds interesting. Everyone should've gotten some decent mins.

It bewilders me that people say Kitto should play centrally. The dude has poor touch.

I agree. From what I've seen of him I'm happy for him to be fighting for a spot on the bench. Definitely not in my starting squad or on my bench at this stage. It bewilders me that people say Kitto should play centrally. The dude has poor touch.

Did you see him play for Newcastle at all? He played centrally there. It bewilders me that people say Kitto should play centrally. The dude has poor touch.
He also played centrally for Birkalla where he won FFSA player of the season which got him noticed by Newcastle.

Re: 2017-18 Preseason
The main thing I'm worried about this season is LB. To be honest Garuccio isn't great defensively and is always a more attacking minded LB. What happens if he goes down? Elrich won't be available until like February(?) I think we're pretty weak at fullback and if Marrone goes down we will be faaaarked.
I really wish we signed another RB/LB.

Yeah I agree it gets a bit dicey if we lose a fullback. First backup would have to be Ochieng, then you get into the realm of using dudes like Warland
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Re: 2017-18 Preseason
And then Ochieng isn't even a great back-up since he's not the best defensively either.
I would hate to see Elsey or Warland playing fullback again. We're not West Brom.

Re: 2017-18 Preseason
I think we'll see makeshift options if we lose a fullback.
I think in a salary capped league with limited squad size we'll see Ochieng, Elsey and Warland play there.
Perhaps Kitto is being groomed for that role too if he's played there a bit in preseason.
Not ideal but having depth in other places is probably a shade more important which is what the coaching staff have opted for.

Ochieng played well when he played there last season, I am confident he will do well enough if needed.
