Would prefer days over weeks but I guess with only 7-8 weeks until the season starts we'll know soon enough.

Definetly light on for high quality attacking mids, especially when you look at the class in the top 2 or 3 sides.
Find a Castro and we get trophies

Looking at our squad, we currently have 19 players.
I think the positions we have already filled are defence and striker.
We are chasing an AM and winger.
Mid and Wing is probably where we need reinforcements.

Reckon we need another striker too, particularly if we go 2 up top
Re: Who's signed for next season
I think Kurz prefers to play 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 so probably won't see two strikers very often.Reckon we need another striker too, particularly if we go 2 up top
Perhaps Marino could be signed as backup. Wouldn't hurt.

He has had his teams play 4-4-2 with two DMs a bit as well so it might be an option.I think Kurz prefers to play 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 so probably won't see two strikers very often.Reckon we need another striker too, particularly if we go 2 up top

Izzo
Marrone - Elsey - Gulum - Garuccio
Isaias - Lia
Miluesnic -------------------- Absalonsen
Baba - Blackwood
Not sure Baba and Blackwood work as a front two partnership as it surely requires a quicker ball carrying striker to work off a big striker like Baba or Blackwood. Marino or MIluesnic could play that role or sign someone like Avaridis who can play as a winger or striker and perhaps number 10.
The key signing for the club is obviously the number 10, we need a quality creative player. The club is looking for a winger, presumably primarily right wing, but I think it would be good if we signed a player who can also fill in at number 10 or striker, a more versatile forward rather than just a specialist winger.
There is always good players leaving clubs, for example a Brazilian striker who has played a bit on the wing, Welliton, left his Turkish club in the last few days. Hopefully the club can find an A-league star, it is needed.

A quality 10 gets us closer to the top 2 sides. Absalonsen looks quality, we know what Baba can do and our youngsters will do a job but we need that creative, Chelo at his best type player.

I think it's already too late for the two foreigners to make an impact for the next FFA Cup match. I think they need to be signed before it though to be ready for the season.

You may not have heard because Kossie is very modest about it and doesn't like to bring it up, especially when he is on TV, but he is the one who actually convinced Chelo to come to the A-league...Because every time he left that area people were all over him! Signing Lia and Blackwood is just so ho-hum. Really feels like we have lost our identity, what happened to the Cantera?

Re: Who's signed for next season
Our Australian player signings have been pretty woeful to date, its almost like the Aussie players know to steer clear of the club and especially the current board etc. It does make me wonder if this is the reason we sign foreign coaches, they don't know what culture they are walking into?
Our foreign signings to date have been good (Gulum on paper is good), but these last 2 imports need to be real quality. Our midfield most definitely looks pretty thin, and I really can't fathom how Carussca is not being considered especially as he is an Aussie. I still can't see AU competing with MV, SFC, WSW and City over the course of the season without a stronger squad.
