FFA made the star system standard. To get a gold one you need to win the ACL. If we win more championships we'll get a number above the star.

Re: New logo.
Pffft.
Dumb having a star when over half the teams have won the championship. And yeah - I still value our Premierships more than the GF win.
I would rather we give the logo itself a little makeover, the turn-of-millennium typeface, asymmetrical shield etc is starting to look a bit dated.
(of course I'd keep all the elements in place, just a slight rejig)

It screams franchise tbh. Something that the average bro would consider getting a tattoo of would be a good starting point for a logo.
I think melbourne city did a fantastic job with theirs tbh

AU's main two colours seem to be red and black. With hints of blue and yellow that other two state colours.
So for that reason I think including Sturt's Desert Pea somehow is a bit of a no brainer.

Sturt's Desert Pea is fantastic (symbolically and graphically). No idea why Bank SA got rid of it.

Re: New logo.
Yeah I reckon you should only get stars for ACL wins and milestone league wins (e.g. Win the Premiers Plate 5, 10 or 15 times etc). Kinda like what Germany has -Pffft.

In 2004, the honour of "Verdiente Meistervereine" (roughly “distinguished champion clubs”) was introduced, following a custom first practised in Italy to recognize sides that have won multiple championships or other honours by the display of gold stars on their team badges and jerseys. Each country's usage is unique and in Germany the practice is to award one star for three titles, two stars for five titles, three stars for 10 titles, and four stars for 20 titles.

Re: New logo.
New logo design would be great. A shield type would be great. Sfc just changed theirs too so its possible to do without fuss.

Re: New logo.
I started this particular concept last year when this topic came up. My photoshopping skills aren't that great, so I kinda put it to the side for a while until now.
This is just a concept if we wanted to go for a more roundel logo. The font is from our current badge, which looks horrible IMO and it could also be a tad smaller, but just for the sake of trying to transfer something from the old badge to the new I used this font.
I'm sure a pro graphic designer would do a 100% better, but just as a concept it works well.
It keeps reminding me of the Crows which I'm not too happy with. I might give it another go tomorrow, maybe even attempt a traditional shield type badge.

I like it but agree the bird does remind me of Crows.
I'm all for a change of logo though. Reckon it would be great to get something more classic looking.
