Brexit

As the UK leaves the EU, one result is that EU footballers will face the same visa restrictions as Australians, making us more competitive in the UK football market.

Conversely many players who no longer play in the UK will be seeking employment in the EU football market, reducing opportunities for our players there.

Swings and round-a-bouts.

I wonder if the premier league will even hit the same heights in the coming years.

Most of the big clubs are foreign owned, if its harder for these guys to do business in england and sign the best players in the world then ratings will drop and in turn sponsorship , tv rights etc falls away.

All of a sudden the mr bigs in the world are looking to invest in the bundesliga or la liga.

This may just be the opportunity the spl have been waiting for , forever being in the epls shadow.

Certainly going to throw the whole football economy into the mixer and no one knows who will be the winners and losers.

It may be a good thing for the aleague as less aussies will be in thelower leagues of england and possibly be in the aleague instead?

who knows , what a mess!

I feel like this will effect a few individuals. But generally the football world will keep turning. Many of the Australian players over there have EU passports so it my just mean looking elsewhere to play for those few.
But hopefully as Shin said it encourages a few to come back to the HAL!
