Odd that it won't be in Melbourne. Hopefully they get a massive crowd like last time Greece were in Australia.

I'm afraid I can't find anything either.

1-0
Leckie wins it for Australia...

And,
Socceroos coach Ange Postecoglou has slammed ANZ stadium’s pitch, declaring he’s embarrassed to have hosted Greece on such a shoddy playing surface.

I guess they have to find a ground that isn't ripped apart by rugby or AFL games. Hindmarsh is free!

I think the pitch did play a big part passing was very sloppy, so happy to to see Leckie score pretty happy with a few of the young guys. Geria, Gersbach and Dengenek.

I'm heading along tonight! Very excited!

Pretty disappointing game in almost every sense.
We were pretty lacklustre on the park and besides some fireworks before the game the crowd was so docile.
I would have expected more from the Greeks especially.

At least we got a crazy goal to enjoy.

Last night wasnt great but ange is clearly experimenting ( as he should ). At times we were playing a very high line and got burnt. This is what friendlies are for.

I realised last night that i cant seem to recall a moment in any game where cahil has taken more than one touch of the ball and actually done something with it. This isnt to say cahill is not quality because he clearly is. However i think we a beyond needing someone who has good positioning and can he dangerous in the air.

The greeks who ripped the flairs in the stadium did themselves no favours. People will probably make the association to those guys and the ultras at MV who cause trouble as the australian contingent from what i understand where behaved. Stupid stuff imo.

Also WTF melbourne ?! What a piss poor crowd overall! 35k in adelaide to see a country most have not even heard of. Melbourne the self proclaimed sporting capital of the world only got 33k to euro country with strong cultural ties to melbourne. I think the media and FFA forget how deep football funs in adelaide.

I'm calling BS on the crowd figure as well. The stadium was barely half full. Timmy still has lots to offer and I would definitely include him in any future squad going forward. But I'd just hate to see him do a Lucas Neill and out stay his welcome.
Personally I can't see Ange playing him if he's not performing though.
God I love Ange!

Timmy can be an impact player off the bench. Doesn't do enough across 90 minutes to warrant a start.

Yeah i just cant remember cahill doing anything with the ball at his feet since 2006.

I think your right eddog, throw him in if we are chasing a game. But going forward we probably need someone a little more dynamic as cahill at his age is mostly a one trick pony.

His experience around the squad and leadership is also invaluable.

I'd be very surprised if Timmy and Ange aren't aware of what Timmy's strengths and weaknesses are.
But as long as he's doing his bit and playing regularly where ever he is I don't see a reason to change it just yet.
