Robocup 2015

Australia's men and women have had their world cups in the last year. Now it is time for the country's robots to represent their nation with distinction at Robocup 2015, which started Today.

Will the Standard Platform League (formerly Aibo Soccer) title come back to Australia?

The UNSW team ended up defending their title. Their training and tactical philosophy (long balls to exploit a speed advantage and lock the ball in the attacking half.) is explained here.

I love the video. The little barstewards even play dirty at times. But isn't it clever how they get themselves up after falling over. It's not often this old phart is impressed by technology these days but these robots are something special (and they're faster than Brucie).
