Given we managed 35k for Tajikistan in the second round of qualifying I am expecting over 40 tonight.

-----------------Ryan--------------------------------
----R McGowan--Jedinak----Sainsbury------
----------------Luongo----Mooy----------------
---------Irvine----------------Rogic-----------------
---Leckie------------Juric------------Troisi-----

I can't see it happening, however I'd love to see Luong, Mooy, Irvine & Rogic mastering the midfield.

Those 4 mids are easily our best, but they also play the same position, attacking midfield or a variation of that.

I think Mooy could be pushed deeper and have Rogic and one of the other two in front of him.

But having all 4 on the pitch leaves us unbalanced IMO.

Luonga has been playing DM for QPR of late so I think they can make it work.

How the ref missed the penalty I have no idea, though that call aside he had a decent night out.

Lovely finish from Rogic and a pity Juric couldn't make it a hat trick given Behic's work on the left.

We are still 3rd on goal difference however things get tough from here on in. Hopefully UAE beat Thailand as that will leave them still in the hunt and needing nothing less than 3 points against Saudi. We may need UAE to help us out as getting a point from Japan will be challenging and if we do lose in Saitama then Japan go into the last game against Saudi having already qualified. Not a happy scenario.

Reckon we can jag a point if Ange does away with the back 3.

Just doesn't work

Back 3 against Japan could get messy.

Rubbish formation.

We are struggling to beat teams on home soil, let alone away after a 20 hour transit.

This whole saudi thing where they did not take part in a minutes silence has got a little out of hand.

Its a shame the media did not research why saudi culture does not believe in honouring birthdays , deaths etc. it is not a Muslim custom , its a wahabist custom which is a very strict version of islam.

Yes the saudis have given a minutes silence previously at other games but they had the permission from their religious council. Imagine if they honoured the minutes silence and then where punished by their religious council when they arrived home.

What we saw thursday night was a clash of cultures and not individuals dishonouring the deceased.
