The post twice and a soft penalty i read somewhere...
I did not see the match.
Is there hope?

Re: The Road to Russia 2018
I fell asleep at half time and haven't seen the "dubious" pen yet but I've read all about it all over facebook this morning.
It can't always be someone else's fault when this team underperforms though. I'd like to see some accountability from some of the players/coaches rather than excuses and stubbornness.
Should have beaten Thailand away last year and should have played more defensively in Japan. Perhaps the biggest issue was changing the formation of an unbeaten team mid way through qualifying.

Penalty was dubious but we had chances to put them away earlier and didn’t take them.
The penalty came at a time of sustained pressure and momentum from Syria.
Away goal helps.
We can win at home.

I was at the match, the penalty wasn't there but even still Juric should have put the game away well before then.
It was an odd sort of match to attend with no drinks available inside the stadium (not even a can of coke or bottled water), however we were all well lubricated from several hours of "preparation" at Sid's Place. For the dedicated few the party continued after the game until they shut the place.
In all we should roll them in Sydney if Ange continues to let Leckie and Kruse range further forward.

USA smoked Panama 4-0 last night meaning they’re 2 points clear and +7 goal difference ahead of Panama in fourth place (who play us if we get past Syria).
USA play Trinidad and Tobago in the last round who have already been eliminated so that would seal USA direct passage.
Honduras are further behind in 5th. 3 points and GD off USA with 2 games to go so technically could nab third if they win their last two and USA drop points to T&T.
Although looking like USA will get direct qualification.
Australia will therefore play Panama or Honduras over 2 legs if we get past Syria.
Could be worse.

Australia 0-1Syria
The game has started.
The game is up...
And as I write Milligan gives the farken ball away in the middle of the farken park and Syria marches straight down and score.
FARK, fark, fark!
Brad Smith is down and possibly out.

We nearly look like a football team when we go through Leckie on the right...

half time
If we don't convert this possession into goals we will be sucker punched in the second half.

1min of added time after 2 goals and 2 injuries. Make sense of that.
