Didn't catch the game. How'd Elrich play and for how long?

Full 90min on the right side.
He had a solid debut.

I thought the socceroos were impressive against macedonia.

For the most part it was like watching spain against san marino lol.

We moved the ball quickly and most passes stuck but there was a massive bus in front of us.

I wonder what this game would have been like with holger in charge ? Kick kick hoof, kick kick hoof , halftime solitaire and medication

I agree, IMO under Holger we would have got beaten with a sucker punch counter attack when Macedonia attacked briefly around the 65th minute. So we defended very well.
Juric and Leckie both had fairly decent chances to score so on another day we could have won.
Really if we took our chances in both games we would have won them both so its a bit disappointing that we didn't, but coming away from playing Germany and Macedonia away disappointed with only draws certainly IMO shows that we have come a long way. But there is clearly still improving to do.

Watching us perform so well and actually playing football is super encouraging when you consider we are right in the middle of a generation that was torn apart Pre/Post NSL-Aleague set ups.

We have some very encouraging youth beneath these guys, Ikonomidis and Da silva for example could become world class players

I have a feeling in the future when Rogic finds his feet again he might do a Cahill and move from the midfield to leading the line in club football. Imagine that!! He would be exactly what we have been struggling to produce since Viduka

Macedonia looked dangerous on the counter at times, with Elrich forced to make a crucial header to stop the home side’s best attacking move in the 16th minute.

So humble. What an absolute champ.

I'm getting "Elrich 21" on the shirt next season!!!
