Yeah I agree. It would be great to see him go to a big mid tier league. Especially a club that made the UCL or UEL regularly.

Yes, playing in the European club competitions would be great for any young Socceroo.

There are enough good teams in good European leagues where he could go.

It doesn't always have to be the EPL.
I keep thinking the same. I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Freiburg/Atalanta/Celta de Vigo type of club.
A Bundesliga club in my opinion would be optimal.

Fair chance atalanta will be relegated this year, although i have to admit they are a club that churns talent for the bigger italian clubs

Australia Under-23 midfielder Mustafa Amini has dismissed the option of a return to the A-League as scouts from Denmark and Belgium descend on Germany to watch his penultimate appearance for Borussia Dortmund II.

If he can get a gig in Belgium I think that would be better then returning to the HAL. IMO if the HAL season was longer it would probably be more of a lure. I think one or two decent injuries and you've probably missed half the season, that can be too much of a hole in a player's early career.

Matthew Leckie has been rewarded for his switch to Ingolstadt by claiming the title in Germany's second tier, with an exciting top-flight campaign awaiting next season

Wonderful news! I can't wait to see Leckie make the step up to Bundesliga level!

If there is a current socceroo who has what it take to play in the EPL i think its Leckie.

I don't think it will even be a big step up for him as he has performed in the bundesliga previously with honours.

Now just to get Kruse playing for the same club.

It took Leckie the harder longer way, but hopefully he is finally playing first team football reguarly in the Bundesliga, he'll probably be better off going through that way anyway.

Interesting to see how Luongo will go in the EPL, unfortunate to see him get immediately loaned out.

Valencia is closing in on signing Australia goalkeeper Mat Ryan from Club Brugge.

The Belgian club announced on Monday it had given the 23-year-old international permission to travel to Spain to complete his transfer for an undisclosed fee.

According to their wiki page he's already signed.
Huge move. Diego Alves is their current number 1 keeper so it'll be interesting to see how much game time he'll get.

I just realised that Alves is out for a while with an ACL injury so Ryan will have the number 1 spot to start with.

There's rumours that Victor Valdes might go there too.

I heard his asking price was too high.

Great to see that Rogic is finally back. Scored a goal and was singled out for some praise by the manager which is promising. Here's to hoping he has an injury free year as a fit Rogic with an in-form Luongo may be useful in unlocking packed defenses.

I can think of nothing more that the NT has required in the last few years then someone like Rogic who can attack defence lines and can add a different dimension to the team's attack. Hopefully this can be a breakout year for him and he can become a mainstay for the NT.
