In 40 minutes it will be our turn.

Do we have what it takes to send the next shock wave through the tournament?

Time will tell...

Timmy Fucking Cahill.

Doesn't get the ball all game - cross comes into the box - goal.

Legend.

Hey apart from the 5 minute window where we conceded those two goals, has anyone been pretty damned impressed with our performance?

Australia 1-2 Chile

half time.

For a while there I thought it would become an goal avalanche.

The goal from Cahill steadied the ship somewhat and we actually started showing some shape and design for the last 10mins of that half.

Chile thought they had won this after 15 minutes and did not react to our goal well at all.

Jason davidson is very green out there but the kid has had some good moments.

We will have our chances, leckie and oar will always look to counter but we just need to stay strong at the back.

Ive noticed a bit of niggles from the chile players trying to get our guys some cards, but this could work in our favour especially since they seem to have angered timmy.

Ends 3-1. Such a promising performance.

Had more shots that Chile. Fantastic reaction after going down 2-0 early.

Be very proud australia!!! The future is bright.

In all honesty we should have won that in the second half.
-3 clear cut chances on goal
-on fire chile keeper
-1 goal taken away from us due to offside ( ultra close but correct )

That did not resemble a squad of A-league products with only a handful of internationals under their belt

Also the ref was card happy with us but missed obvious thing like troisi having his legs taken out just outside the box.

Apart from that though ref was fairly solid but def doesnt like timmy lol

I felt a lot of nostalgia watching him terrorise their defence :)

The only thing lacking from Leckie's game is that final ball.

I am so pumped for the next two games and the Asian Cup now after that performance.
