I rate him higher than McKay, Franjic and Halloran. Luke wilkshire is normally solid for Australia but Mckay can't make a simple short pass.

I would have Franjic in my starting eleven on his recent form. But I would pick Wilkshire over 7 or 8 of the squad that did make it.

Wilkshire's cut baffles me too at the moment. If Franjic wasn't injured it'd be understandable. But as it stands we seriously lack necessary experience up back.

So who will cover Franjic at RB? He's carrying an injury and will possibly struggle to play 3 games in the short timeframe.

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014 - General Discussion
McGowan has played a lot at RB.
Just looking at Bailey Wright. No wonder he is in the squad he has played 50 first team matches this season alone. Given its League One but hilarious people talk of taking Neill after 2 or 3 matches for Doncaster then Wright is playing week in week out all season.

He's one of the interesting ones. Most of us really have little idea as to what he can do. Hopefully he really puts his hand up.Just looking at Bailey Wright. Finishes 1-0 to Croatia in our last hitout before Chile. Only managed 2 shots all game to their 10.
Their goal was on the back of a lucky deflection from a tackle to an unmarked player in the box. Finished well.
By no means disgraced.

now I see why it's $2.30 odds for Australia to score more than one goal this campaign

Re: FIFA World Cup 2014 - General Discussion
Only saw a few minutes of the game but croatia were good at sitting back and breaking us down in the midfield and then holding the ball and control the game.
We really need some creativity in the midfield to make defenders think twice and give them more space. We really needed rogic or kruse to be fit

I saw the first half and it was a marked improvement to the game against the RSA.
But it's going to be hell...

Just days to go. Getting jealous seeing friends talk about their arrival in Rio, or being en route...

Reports coming out that Vidal will be out of the clash with the Socceroos. We only need another 12-15 more injuries and we're in with a chance
