I was wondering what other peoples thoughts on who deserves a spot in the Socceroo WC squad.
Personally I'm a huge Corey Gameiro fan. I really think if he can finish off the HAL season well he would be a great squaddie to take.
Rogic is another I really like I really feel he could be a spark coming on in the 70th min an offer us something different in the middle.

Re: Dark horses for the WC squad
Rogic should consider it a personal failure if he doesn't make the world cup squad. He was a shoe-in 6 months ago.
There is such a dearth of outstanding performances amongst borderline squad members that it's really hard to tell where 'dark horse' begins.
Personally, I could see Kewell sneaking in again with a strong finish to the season. I think his performances as a utility player are under appreciated and it's not so much that he is performing outstandingly well in that role currently, rather that there is nobody better.

I agree I would take Harry for sure (if he's fit) on the pitch I really feel he would be a calming influence.

Re: Dark horses for the WC squad
IMO Kruse is very inconsistent for us. I find he plays a lot like a kid on debut for us some games. All speed and run but no really plan or vision. Its a lottery when he's in on goal for us.
I would rather see him come off the bench for us.
Sad to hear he has done his ACL though. He's certainly one for the future but to be brutally honest I don't feel him missing helps or hinders our slim chances in Brazil.

Sarota. Hopefully he's fully recovered now and can display the form he had prior to his injury. He was really tearing it up in the Eredivisie and is a natural replacement for Bresciano. He didn't have a run on the weekend as Utrecht were smashed by Feynoord 2-5.
