And Australia!

It's official.

IMO its a bit of a blessing and the pressure is of ange and the younger guys.

Just imagine if we scraped out of the group though, lucky holder is gone!

Real madrid/ Barca all stars vs Australia.......gulp

Ok.
Maybe it's not that official after all.
There seems to be another group of death featuring England.

But we have been written off already. :D
Only Australia are considered simple opponents: the assumption is that this will be a three-team battle for two places.

Just saw this. Wow.

At least as mentioned above, it will be good to play with no fear. There is a zero percent chance we can make it out of this one lol.

I wouldnt say zero chance.

The dutch are notorious for putting in poor showings at the WC ( ok sth africa was different ) , chile can be world class today and implode tomorrow.

Indeed, the lack of expectation on the squad could be quite liberating. I am looking forward to this. If we snaffle a result against Chile then anything goes.

That said whoever comes 2nd in the group will be, in a likelihood, facing Brazil in the Round of 16.

Japan & Korea have a decent groups. You'd imagine they'd be good odds of making the round of 16. Iran have a tougher assignment though not impossible.

Partly because the USA are in it. I'd favour USA to get out of that group with Germany. It will be a tight battle for the #2 spot.

Fark !
I think that word was echoed around the entire nation by everyone watching the moment our name was drawn.

There's some weak groups though. Would have been nice to have some hope...

Meh. The Dutch are incapable of beating Australia. Judging by the effectiveness of the Spanish style for Adelaide United, Australia should be beating them 4 or 5-nil. Just blood some youngsters and make sure no one gets injured against Chile I guess

Maybe with the luck we got in the last WC two reds that could have been yellows or missed. Hopefully we're due for some luck. I'm hoping Man Utd run RVP into the ground. Torres hits some dodgie form and 5 or 10 red cards go our way! I think if we can jag a win from Chile it could look good for us. If we lose to Chile blood young kids and send the old blokes home to save money on accommodation.

People are so focused on Spain and Netherlands that they've overlooked Chile. This team is ranked 15 in the world and will be playing on its home continent!

This game will be tougher than the Dutch IMO.
