People are so focused on Spain and Netherlands that they've overlooked Chile. This team is ranked 15 in the world and will be playing on its home continent!

This game will be tougher than the Dutch IMO.
Chile are useless! They only beat England 2-0 at Wembley.

lol, it's only #2 because we're also in the group to drag the average down..

By their reckoning we have the hardest scheduling out of any of the 32 teams there.
Average strength of each group
Despite being widely recognized as the "group of death," Group B has lower average ranking points than Group G. Number 59 ranked Australia are the weakest team in the tournament and brought down Group B's overall average, while Group G has more parity, with number two ranked Germany at the top and number 24 ranked Ghana at the bottom.
Strength of each team's group stage schedule
Australia were handed the most difficult set of matches, and the USA weren't very far behind with the third toughest schedule, pitting American coach Jürgen Klinsmann against Germany for a final group-stage match. England have the 10th hardest schedule, beginning the tournament against perennial powerhouses Italy.
GROUP B, Avg. 1048 pts
Spain and the Netherlands will play a rematch of the 2010 final, while Australia look to be done before it's even started.
Bring it on :D
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Im pumped for the WC now!

What do we have to lose? even if we finish the bottom of our group so what. IMO this is such a huge opportunity to rein in the new era of the socceroos

Both chile and the Dutch can spit the dummy when the going gets tough.

In regard to spain ......lets just hope its not a cricket score LOL

If we take a squad with the next generation in mind I don't mind going out (as long as they aren't cricket scores right) Personally I don't see the point in relying on the oldies still if the chances of proceeding are slim to none. Sure take the oldies who are fit and good enough still but if they are going to retire straight afterwards whats the point? Blood some youth. You never know someone like Leckie or Rogic might just set the world on fire.
