Will the National team ever come to Adelaide

with Adelaide oval can we expect to see the green and gold here? and not just an Aus a league vs minnow nation?
I'm sick of Sydney and Melbourne getting 90% of the games

Pretty sure the SA gov't would need to fork out the cash to get em hear. Nuff said.

Perth haven't had a Socceroos game since 2005!

Exactly everyone gets upset like its the FFA's fault. They are only going to go to the place that bids the highest. I just hope the SA government grasps this concept some time in the future.

I fear we may not see them this world cup qualifying period too. missed the Asian cup, perth got the first home game leaving us with 3 home games to try snag one. Melbourne and Sydney are almost guaranteed one each, Brisbane likely to get one. but they might throw us a bone against tajikizstan or krygikstan?

I believe 5th june 2011 was the last time the socceroos played in Adelaide and it was a friendly.
2004 was the last competitive game in Adelaide! 11 years since they played here for points!

I read an article (by Cockerill I think) that said due to the calibre of the teams in the first round, they will play the games at smaller venues. Us, Newcastle, Wollongong and Canberra are in the mix.

Such a nice thing for FFA to do for a state that has supported football so well for so long. And no doubt if we win the first few the big players will not bother coming over

I dunno about players skipping games. Every game is crucial - home ones even more so.
Going to be tough picking up points on the road with dodgy pitches and conditions.
