Great game.

Maybe we won't go home early this time.

Didn't catch the game but from the highlights it looked like we had the better chances.

Should have probably won it!

It was a good tight game that ebbed and flowed between the two sides.
Either team could have won it.

Wonderful game. All the talk of Australian sides playing a passing possession dominated game came to the front here. We looked cool and calm on the ball and created a number of good chances with silky skills (of which quite a few we spoilt by Taggart getting offside too often). IMO a couple of skill errors at the back saw chances created against them that shouldn't have been but some of the kids from Colombia are already playing Italian Serie A already so it was a quality outfit we were facing.
Next match is Tuesday agains El Salvador. This is a must win as Turkey already beat them 3-0 and I feel if we can repeat this performance and hopefully Gameiro comes in for Taggart (He didn't start the first game due to some knock he was carrying) we should win this one. It will be a interesting clash as I find our youth sides are good at creating chances but I have yet seen a game where we took many of them, so this should be the game where we do.

From all reports it was the best Roos performance at any level for a number of years!

I watched the last 75mins, thought that they played really really well, swift passing that found its target and seemed on the same wave length 99% of the time, not disjointed like the senior NT.

De Silva will be a beast for the socceroos in a couple of years time, I don't expect him to stay in the a-league very long if he keeps displaying the skill and confidence he did last night. The youngest player in the tournament too (16).

I really hope he sticks around in the HAL for a couple more seasons. Keep developing under Alistair Edwards in an environment he is comfortable in. Then once he becomes a bit of a big fish in a little pond move on where he wants and hopefully for a better price. Its happening a lot more in the J-league now were players are sticking around till their early 20's and moving for more money and starting XI places. Instead of alright money and second XI spots if not get loaned out to 2nd Div clubs.

After the opening game I am really looking forward to this match and I'm hoping the high quality of football the team played continues.
