Izzos keeping in pre season games disturbed me..

Good opportunity for the lads. Will be nice if Ozzy picks up his first cap, he's at the right age to start really pushing his credentials for the Socceroos. And I've been banging on for a while about how Vidosic and Galekovic should be near our first choice Roos XI.
These outs will hurt us in the A-League, but Melbourne will lose Archie and Milligan, and Central Coast lose Ryan and Rogic, so we're all pretty much in the same boat. Milligan is a huge loss to Melbourne IMO, will expose their defensive frailty.

Watson to slot straight into Malik's role, Jeronimo to drop back into the hole with Bruce up front ... Zenon should be in the selection frame again as well ... and we should be OK.

Just in case anyone can't remember what happened last time we played without Galeckovic

Very worrying, but I won't mind if he actually plays, as I said before, everyone seems to think Ryan is something special but he's had more shockers than spectacular saves. If we lose Eugene just or him to be a bench warmer ill be pissed.

100% right - to lose Eugene and have him not even play would be a massive headf**k.

Goes for all 3 of our boys.

However...I also remember our depleted squad spanking Victory 4-1 at Hindmarsh...so who knows?

Congrats to the lads, but geez, I wish we weren't losing them for critical games for what is a tinpot tourney.

As mentioned already - other teams are losing key players as well. Pretty glad Archie is out tbh - he always fcking scores against us.

I think that everyone who makes the final squad will get a run at least one way or another.

Mariners will be without Matt Ryan and Tom Rogic.

Im not even sure who mariners back up keeper is, but he is not a underage socceroo starter like Izzo. Remember birras effort in the 4-1 win against victory when huge was injured ?

Also from memory they would have to slot Mcbreen into Rogic's role and Ibini would get a start.

Barker Daish, Jeronimo, Carussca can all play in vidosics role and we have 2 hungry strikers itching for game time.

Interms of MV, most of their goals seem to come from the archie, rojas combination. Archie will not be there ( ill miss calling him offside ) and Milligan will be absent leaving an already shakey defence.

IMO both games work in our favour

Vidosic will be staying in adelaide after an MRI today revealed knee ligament damage from friday's clash with sydney.

an aufc official said he is likely to be missing for up to 2 weeks.

Let's hope he only misses one week and is back for the MV game!! lol

But i feel for him, he really deserved that call-up...

Massively unlucky.

Couldn't catch a break there, could he.. terrible for club and country, but most importantly his own ambitions and achievements.

Devo for him - in the post-match interview you could see it in his eyes he was over the moon re the call-up and was determined not to miss it.

Heartbreaking.

Truly disappointing, he has worked so had these past few months to get back into the socceroos squad and to get a chance and then it get taken away by something out of your control is terrible. Was the tackle on Vidosic after the FT whistle? Or about 15 minutes before time?

The math review panel said that the whistle had already been blown so it was not during play and not worth reviewing. So I guess it's Assault then?
