Personally id have thought barker daish would slot in nicely. But i dont doubt barbs can do the job . Unlike most of us kossie knows how these guys are training. For example most of us cringed about kostopolous but he has performed fairly well of late.

I think izzo will get the nod but who is the 2nd keeper for mariners ?

I think I'd rather see Watson than Barbs as a number 10 but in saying that I'd also prefer to drop Jeronimo back and add Djite or Van Dijk to the mix

This is what Kossie has been playing of late, so I guess he will get the players that are available to fit the formation.

I haven't seen this 'two number tens' setup. Do you mean the midfield sets up in a triangle, with Malik deep and the other two next to each other in front of him?

I would like to see Melling get another HAL run-out, but I think he's consigned to Youth for the whole season. Caravella getting a run would be sweet though.

Well you just posted a 4-3-3, but I can kinda see how you would think its a 4-3-2-1. We push our two number 10's up real high for most of the game, wide players do track back and our fullbacks are free to go forward. I just don't feel its a Christmas tree formation as most of our possession is in our defensive half, too much play on the wings and not enough in the centre of midfield where our creative players are to be a 4-3-2-1. To me it just seems like a lazy 4-5-1, during defensive transitions it seems to be fine. However when going forward we all push forward leaving the back two and Malik, with Cassio or Watson occasionally dropping deeper to move the ball around. That if I recall correctly.

I completely agree with you - I was simply stating that this is Kossie's attempted formation.

Whether that's how it pans out on the field is a different story.
