Okon names squad for AFC U-19 Championship

Qantas Young Socceroos head coach Paul Okon has included 13 players from the ranks of the Hyundai A-League Clubs and 10 overseas based players in his 23-player squad for the upcoming AFC U-19 Championship, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates from 1-17 November 2012.

Happy to see a few Euro lads in there. All this talk of Chris Ikonomidis lately but I guess he is only 17.
I really hope if we see a few stand outs at this tournament that it really gets the name forward to some Socceroos squads we need these kids to come though so badly.
I feel this could be a big tournament for Amini. I hasn't had a lot of game time in other tournaments Australia has been involved in and I'd really like to see him shine here and hopefully that will help his chances at Dortmund.
