I wouldn't have started Rogic last night. Though he handled the conditions far better than I expected when he came on which is a testament to his rapid improvement. I would have picked an actual left winger and another striker though.

I'm still concerned by the number of stupid players going around. The conditions were horrible, but you'd think they'd realise after the first 10 failed passes that a short-passing game will not work on a mud-pitch that has been spray painted green
I would put that down to our stupid coach. Wouldn't be surprised if he said to players, "play my way or you'll never be seen in a Socceroos jersey again!"
Can anyone find highlights?

Lengthy highlights on SBS website if it works in your region.

Pitch had more moguls than a golf course. But still, that formation and those players? What was he thinking?

I'm hoping its a rotational squad and we'll see a better lineup for Korea.

Anyone have any luck with the free stream on the SBS website?

It's not just a problem with the national team though or even just an Australian problem. However, you are right that selection plays a big part.

Most commonly I mean things like forwards who switch off when a shot is taken or defenders who can't simultaneously defend and call for offside. But in games like Monday night's I include repeatedly doing things that require the ball to have a true/any roll. It's a very good way for good players to render their talent irrelevant.

Sounds like it's all NK at the moment.

Are we set up for the counter?

HT 1-0

We are all over the place. First 10 mins was all us, got the goal and now we're sitting back.

Granted they haven't had many scoring shots.

1-1 same substitutes as last time for Aus thus far. Terrible.

NK currently have an injured player after making a 23 minute substitute. then bringing that sub off at half-time and then taking the next one off at 75 minutes.

Holger's tactics are utter balls.

1-1FT with only 2 subs made the entire game.

That's it for the tourny for us unless we score 11+ goals against the other teams or NK loses. Both are about 1% possible.

11+ goals against the other teams is possible even on current form. It shouldn't be the same 11 anyway.

It ends 1-1 and basically we're only going through if we score more goals in the next games then North Korea. So we're buggered. Holger you've done enough please go back to where ever the hell you came from you useless git

In the end I'm happy if we bomb out. Hopefully Holger will grow a brain in the coming days and go with a different line up with youth. 2 goals in 180 mins. We'll need one every 10 mins for the rest of the tournament if we are to progress. What a joke we are.

Glad vidosic was injured as holger would not have played hin anyway. Samevas what he has done with rogic.

Has babalj even got a run yet ? Holger seems to want to play defenders everywhere, so disappointed!! This tournament could have been so much more

While I was super disappointed for Darz to miss his National team opportunity, I'm glad he missed this tournament though where they are playing ugly football and he's fit back for MV home game and a chance to show up that traitorous scumbag.
