Australia equalise and a few minutes later The Saudis score a second to stun the home crowd!

Half time

1-2

Brazil?
It's going to be a long hard road...

Love Bresc. A creative mid that plays forward. Sure he looks a bit off the pace at times but first time back in the NT team in 20 months...

As for North... Why? What has he done or ever done to warrant this? I'd rather have Watson back there seriously!!!

Bresc his forward play is something the socceroos have not had in years. Brosque take a bow.

Agree. Some of these selection are extremely strange. Thompson! C'mon! Now I will admit he wasn't completely shit but you can't say there is any merit in playing him a 33 year old over someone like Burns or Leckie.
Brosque was fantastic has always been underated IMO.
Still a lot to be desired from the team but a decent result in the end.
I still think we desperately need to think more about playing young kids. Most of the squad is the wrong side of 30.
Time to Djbate!

Classic Saudi Arabian implosion there. Good to see the back of them.

Speaking of things wrong with the AFC, Indonesia currently in the process of losing 9-0 to Bahrain in a match Bahrain had to win by at least 9.

Thankfully any schemes were foiled by a late Qatari equaliser in their match.
