A CHILEAN football association upheaval has cost Adelaide Oval the chance to host the Socceroos in June.

Chile's football association president Sergio Jadue and coach Claudio Borghi have told the nation's media they want the agreed game against the Socceroos suspended or postponed.

The no-show is set to cost the Chilean FA a miserly $150,000 for not honouring its contractual accord.

There has been a recent changing of the guard at the Chilean FA and the new regime does not intend to honour the previous arrangement.

Just read in the Advertiser that its probably going to be NZ we play in Adelaide. Better than nothing
