Very happy to be coming up against Japan in the final, I feel we have a much better chance against them than South Korea.. Will be a much tougher ask than against Uzbeckistan, who played so uncharacteristicall badly.

Stand up and cheer your socceroos australia, they did us proud!!
while they lost in extra time it has to be said we played pretty darn well!!
Australia dominated the ball for most of the game and had the vast majority of chances. However the ball just did not want to go in, and Japans keeper all but won the game for them single handed numerous times.
It has been a long time since i have seen australia play to a standard like this, better yet we had Mckay an A-league captain keeping brett emerton on the the bench, as well as lots of younger talent on the park who will be around for the next world cup

Kruses header OMG how did the keeper save it!!!
I must say ive got some respect for him as a footballer after this asian cup.
Very surprised at the way we just kept attacking, heaping more and more pressure on Japan, just unfortunate one of the many chances didnt go in.

i couldn't help but think that it would of been Leckie's pace and fearless approach unleashed on Japan last night if it wasn't for that injury, instead of it being Kruse.
