So good. Achieved beyond expectations at the World Cup. He goes with the thanks of a grateful nation. (I reckon he’d be a fantastic coach to play for - encouraging, enthusiastic, attacking, releasing players to play their own game.)

Thanks for the memories Arnie. WC 2022 was all time.
He did need to go, but I am worried about the replacement. Popvic being touted. Would be a massive downgrade.

Batten down the hatches ...
The bookies have closed the book and the winner is not the Socceroos.
Dour, unimaginative.
Are we heading for a few years in the wilderness?

( I hope I am proven wrong.)

A home match against China in front of a football starved, passionate Adelaide crowd gives Popovic a decent chance to start with a win. If we can follow that up with an away draw against Japan (or at worst an excellent performance that only just falls short) and that should provide enough momentum to put our World Cup campaign back on track.

I don't really get the Popovic hate? Sure 5 lost GFs is a concern but Premierships and an ACL. He has an excellent CV.
Time to Djbate!
