This is Abbey the Spoon Lady. Quite an interesting character who is an advocate for buskers and street performers amongst other things. Bit of a hobo and American folklorist. Not bad with the spoons either.

Bit of an interesting back-story, certainly she has a set of lungs on her as that takes quite some effort.

This is an interesting collaboration I came across a while back; traditional Latvian pipes & drums meets Mongolian throat music.

And the winner is ... Italy!
Good place here for the winner of the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.
Rock and roll will never die!

Something of a throw-back. On that note, I was watching some Warumpi Band last week; forgot how good they were.

For the youngsters out there, bit of nostalgia for you - and a better version than Christine Anu's cover I may add :D

So I was trail running this afternoon after work, through the rugged Japanese hills of Tsushima. As I was pushing up through some amazing, but damn steep forest, two tunes ran through my head. This was the first, Eliza's Aria by Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin. If anyone had any doubt that Australian's could compose spell-binding arias, well, they wouldn't after this.

Stumbled across Franzl Lang a little while ago (he passed away in 2015), though no doubt Sevengoals is well aware of him. He mightn't look as good as Dolly Parton in her prime, but he sure has better yodelling.

Time to give the Slovaks a nod as they prepare to knock the Spanish out of the Euros tomorrow.

Bit of Swedish folkmetal to help them defeat the Ukrainians in the Euros tomorrow morning; Hoven Droven to the rescue.

As Italy and Spain prepare to meet in tonight's semi-final we have the album by
Spanish indie group Deneuve called El Codazo de Tassotti (The Elbow of Tassotti).
