Who the fark is Scott Morrison?
Apart from the new Prime Minister of Australia...
" There was, he added, no room for spin, showmanship, hubris or “any of the feelings of invincibility” that so often shackle nations with an imperial past ... " - - -

Re: Who the fark is Scott Morrison?
This says it all...
5th Prime Minister in 5 years?
Are they trying to break some record down there?
Farked up.

Yep and it won't change anything. The hard liners are still pissed off their man didn't get up. They really should just call an election and sort it out in opposition. It's an actual joke.
Re: RE: Re: Who the fark is Scott Morrison?
Is an election even going to change anything? There'll just be another leadership challenge in a few years.Yep and it won't change anything. The hard liners are still pissed off their man didn't get up. They really should just call an election and sort it out in opposition. It's an actual joke.
We haven't seen a Prime Minister serve a full term since Johnny H (2007).
There needs to be a real shakeup in how things are done in Aussie Politics but what that is I have no idea.

Politics starts from the ground up.
To change it you have to become active and organize.
Let your local federal member of parliament know that you are not happy.
Ring them up and tell them.

Re: Who the fark is Scott Morrison?
The man who had the idea of setting up offshore detention centres for refugees so Australian law does not apply to these poor souls. That is including the banning of doctors, nurses and guards etc from going to the media .( The devil is in the wording really, one persons detention centre is anothers concentration camp)

Re: Who the fark is Scott Morrison?
7G you might find this article interesting by kevin Rudd.
https://www.smh.com.au/politics/federal ... 4zzum.html
Goes on to talk about Rupert murdochs political power in australia.
Its surely nothing new to any of us who have the ability of independant thought, however its nice to see someone who is still somewhat revolving around australian politics come out and say it.
This article will not gain any traction though, sitting politicians on both the left and right know what is out of bounds.
I feel apart from murdoch owning 75% of print media in Aus, our biggest issue is we have no left and right any more, we have a right liberal party being pulled further right by the nationals and smaller parties while labour to me is a corporatist centre right party these days with no working relationship with the left greens and independants.
Regardless of ones political views, I think we can all agree on the need for strong parties from both sides of the political divide , which is something we lack just like the US.

Re: Who the fark is Scott Morrison?
Yep - 'Liberal' and 'Labor' are words that have almost no meaning here. Libs are being torn apart by a gang of populist ultraconservatives, and Labor can maintain the policy position of locking up children on a tropical island and STILL be seen as the more 'socially progressive' option...I feel apart from murdoch owning 75% of print media in Aus, our biggest issue is we have no left and right any more, we have a right liberal party being pulled further right by the nationals and smaller parties while labour to me is a corporatist centre right party these days with no working relationship with the left greens and independants.
Murdoch's influence is a massive part of the problem.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

I look forward to the day where placing value on basic human rights, equality, and scientific merit doesnt put you somewhere well and truly on the left..Yep - 'Liberal' and 'Labor' are words that have almost no meaning here. Im not sure if anyone is familiar with Dr Jordan Pieterson but he has some very interesting points as to why there has been a strong far right movement in the west recently. Interestingly the murdoch media in the UK , US and Australia have totally misrepresented his work. Funny that!

Personally, the leadership changes bother me less than the policy paralysis. They can't make up their minds internally about what they want to do let alone get it through parliament. Is an election even going to change anything? There'll just be another leadership challenge in a few years.Yep and it won't change anything. The hard liners are still pissed off their man didn't get up.
