Mental Illness

Postby Ghost Sun Nov 12, 2017 10:34 am

From somebody who struggles with depression at times, although not nearly as badly as what I once did, if you are having problems please talk to someone.

Please get help, there are people who care about you, who can give you real help.

It does not have to ruin your life, it does not have to end your life, you can have a great life if you get help.

Please get help.

Well said Ghost.
It's never the wrong time to talk to someone, and there's nothing weak about admitting your struggles. Mental illness can happen to literally anyone and the worst thing you can do is live in denial about it.

Well said both of you. I think that really is something everyone (me included) needs to keep in mind when replying to people's posts. It's very easy to lay into someone else who you disagree with but none of us know what's behind those words posted.

Help is out there if you need it and in my humble opinion you are not "weak" to seek support, you are being brave.

Great thread.

To take it one step further i think its important to also remember players/managers are people also with varying degrees of internal struggles

That is very true. From memory our own Greg Owens & Dez Giraldi both spoke out about their own problems in this respect.
