That's not true either.

Dow broke through 20000 points. A record. They only went down 1% the night before.

Never mind what else is going wrong in the world as long as the stock market keeps rising.....

No wonder we're toast.

No, they voted a pretty staunch and ruthless businessman. Any businessman with the tenacity to fight through the ups and downs like that, taking big capital risks is just mind boggling.

Also, I never said the jobs were as a result of his low tax business policies as they haven't even been rolled out yet.

The jobs were created by the positive sentiment due to his election. In other words, confidence is on the rise.
Ups and downs, but mainly downs....

You never said anything, you just blindly handed him all the credit based on nothing at all.
Baseless 'facts' like that are exactly what got him elected.

One thing I've noticed has gone quiet on the Trump front. Where have all his sexual assault charges gone?
I still find that absolutely insane that a man under investigation for such serious offences can be elected.

That's because Trump had numerous business interests, some of which went down during the various financial crisis and downtowns.

2 notable businesses which nearly sent him to the wall were an airline he started and some casino resorts in Florida. He had a 7 star resort which literally went to the wall and the Banks wanted to foreclose at one point but decided they would lose less by not doing so.

Being in business myself, you understand the concept of risk vs reward. It's very easy to lose money and it's hard to make it. But when you make it, then it beats working on a wage or for someone else.
So again, Trump would have been better off putting his money in an index fund. If Trump has not even beaten the market how can you possibly consider him a notable businessman ?

He is certainly ruthless though, take a look at Trump college for example defrauding the people he now represents.

Is Trump mortgage a good indication of his business skills in 2006? He was even questioned if he felt there was a bubble in the market ready to burst which he denied would happen.

Thoughts on the pending conflict with north korea?

Im probably more understanding to trump on this one. Independant experts have admitted north korea are only a few short years away from long range nuclear missiles that could reach the US. This is probably the time to take action as kim jong un could really take the world down with him if he is left to do as he pleases.

The really interesting player in this saga is china. While a volitile nuclear neighbour who could level beijing is not something they want, a neighbour with no US presence looking over their southern border is also a huge plus for them.

It seems like sensible diplomacy with china may solve many of the big internetional issues currently.

If NK falls into line they might be able to get a team into the ACL.

I read a blog on FB the other from some Marxist with a Che Guevara profile pic telling me what a great free democratic country it was with plenty of food for all. Also how crappy our western world is.

I'm still picking my jaw up from the floor.

Happy for Trump to remove Jong Un whenever he likes.

Given the USA's track record in going into hostile countries. I hope they've learnt from their long list of failures and leave military action off the table for sometime. But the industrial military complex must keep rolling on so military action wouldn't shock me. Although it would scare me.

America have a long history of fighting wars on false pretences since way back to fighting the Spanish out of Cuba when their brand new war ship somehow mysteriously exploded in the middle of the night.

Given americas history I'm still yet to hear solid evidence presented that Assad used chemical weapons on his own people and I've yet to hear a plausible motive as to why he would do this . I'm certainly not denying it happened just mindful of USA 's history.

I would say this is different, it's not about gaining another puppet state it's about world wide stability.

It reminds me of the US when Saddam Hussein stopped doing their bidding and went rogue
US " he has chemical weapons and is going to use them "

Media " but how can you be sure "

US " because we sold it to him ........."

I'm thinking of starting an "End of the World" thread now that Australia's Prime Minister has nailed his colours to the TrumpUSA mast.

He "trusts the wisdom and judgment of Trump and Pence"!

Doesn't that scare you down there?

Not sure why but I'm not really concerned.

Just a bit of posturing.

I'll be surprised if trump hasn't resigned by the end of year and pence gives trump a pardon for anything he is found guilty of .
