Another shocking afl incodent in melbourne. Local game ends in 150 person brawl, racial insults and an 8 month pregnant woman kicked repeatedly on the ground.

Re: Eddie Betts
How could it be? They are both of the same race.So if a black man throws a banana at a black man then that black man is a racist? In my opinion no. A precedent has been set in society that throwing a banana at a black man has a certain meaning. Is it possible to throw a banana at a black man and it not be racist?
Just like the swastika has meaning to other people (but obviously not to the same extent).

Disgraceful. Although there are dumb people in every sport. Just like every other element of society.Another shocking afl incodent in melbourne. Local game ends in 150 person brawl, racial insults and an 8 month pregnant woman kicked repeatedly on the ground.
I think one thing everyone aims to do is say "this group did this, or that race created this situation." In the end these things were all created by and done against humans. Because they have a certain shade of skin or play a certain sport is secondary IMO.

And it possible to be racist against your own race. One example would be the late world chess champion Bobby Fischer who despite being partly Jewish was clears racist against Jews.

Re: Eddie Betts
That is an interesting point. IMO racism is an overly general term. If I was to ridicule someone about the country they originate from by definition that is racism but in reality its should be called nationism. That same is I feel true to religion. Which I would call religionism.

I'm not sure how you define inter-race racism. I guess that would depend on what place the ridicule or hatred is coming from and what is intended by it.
But the fact still remains anyone who views a massive group of people as lesser based on stereotypes, emotional bias or news on a small number of people from that group. Is doing nothing but highlighting their own bigotry and bounded awareness.

I think the correct term is reverse rascism. Which is used to describe african americans belittling each other in the 60s for not pivig up to white standards .
Im sure im probably 50% wrong on that thought
