Just bought ultimate edition on Origin PC ($89). Haven't played the demo so I'm going in blind here but if it's crap I can also get the origin refund! :)

Downloading now so it's ready when I get home tonight.

With every new fifa edition there is always a 2 week period of "wtf is this shit , they have killed it!" After that everything seems to make sense

Apart from graphics what will the difference between ps3/4 be ?

Fifa 14 was purely just a graphics upgrade as they did not get enough development time with the ps4.

Im currently trying to convince myself i do not need a ps4 yet lol

Still can't decide whether to get it or not. I got FIFA 13 and I usually like to give it a couple of season before getting the next one as the only change is generally the squads.

Time to throw the cat amongst the pigeons:

What do I get - a PS4 or XB1?

I believe the PC game this year is the nextgen version (same engine etc.). Looks pretty sweet on my rig (1920x1080 @ 60+fps).

I used my xbox one last night for the first time and played destiny for 5 and a half hours straight. So it's fair to say I'm pretty impressed. Just put fifa 15 in and even though its only 2 days old there is a 363mb update haha. One thing you definitely notice with xb1 is the install waiting time.

In all honesty there is very little difference between ps4 and xb1, I like the xb1 better because the controller is more comfortable IMO but they both have great features. I think the ps4 has slightly better specs but I don't think games that are multi platform will take advantage of that, only exclusive ps4 games.

well, I have gone without a PS or XBOX for...well ever, the last game console I had was a PS2. my wife wants to get one but I'm not sold on it, is it really worth getting into?

Since the ps3 versions they started a new mode where u can pick any player in the world and solely play as them and making career choices...... U could be bruce ?:p

In all honesty though there is a learning curve to fifa these days but once you master it the game really does imitate life well particularly if u get deep into it and enjoy tactical side of things .

If your wife wants a console and will play fifa with you then she is a keeper for sure! Lol
